How could anyone know how "at home" & comfortable you made me feel, a blond hair blue eyed girl from western MD! A bond of country music & especially Patsy Cline when you complimented my singing. Thank you Uncle Wayne for all the wonderful memories, laughter, inspiration to our sons, & beautiful music. Until we sing together...
I will always remember how well he yodeled. And how we all
loved watching his great facial expressions when he sang the "chiclets" song. He always had his guitar in the trunk of his car ready to entertain all of us. He has his special spot on his living room couch and would tell me all about the old school country artists and tv shows from yesteryear. I will never forget the day I went to Outback with him and a family yelled out,"that's Wayne Glenwood!" What a proud smile he had! He used to retell the jokes he and my beloved father would share and kept his memory alive and how he loved "the stuff Nidia makes!"( Lomito saltado-a favorite dish my mama used to make for them). But a visual I personally will never forget is being able to find him so easily on a crowded beach by looking out for his bright Orange swim trunks!
Rest in forever peace, Uncle Wayne.
PS. Thank you for the same birthday card exchange that was mailed back and forth from your house to mine and then back to you for your birthday! Priceless!
