Obituary of MARILYN TANNENBAUM

Marilyn Gallanter Tannenbaum passed away on April 11, 2024 in West Palm Beach, Florida. She was 95 years old.

Marilyn was born in 1928 in Irvington, NJ to Mildred & Jack Menkes and was raised in Newark, NJ and graduated from Weequahic High School. She married Stanley Gallanter in 1949 and moved to Verona, NJ and had three children, Bruce, Bonnie & Marc Gallanter before settling in Linden, NJ. After Stanley passed away in 1980, Marilyn was married to Morris Tannenbaum from 1982 until his passing in 2012, and resided in Lake Worth, Florida.

Marilyn enjoyed playing Mahjong and spending time with her friends and her family. She is survived by her children Bruce, Bonnie, Marc & Debbie Gallanter, Gary Tannenbaum, Jill & Mark Goldblatt, & David Tannenbaum & Judy Tannenbaum, grandchildren Jenna Friedman, Suzanne & Melissa Gallanter, Matthew Tannenbaum, Michael & Benita Goldblatt, Evan & Rachel Tannenbaum, Josh & Zan Goldblatt, great grandchildren Sophie Friedman, Maddox & Brycin Goldblatt and Skyler Tannenbaum and  sister-in-law & brother-in-law Terri & Stephen Geifman and many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews.

The funeral was held on Sunday, April 14^th at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge, NJ. Donations in Marilyn’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude’s Hospital.
