HOWARD SCHNEIWEIS Obituary

 


Howard Schneiweis was born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey. He attended Jersey City Public Schools from elementary through high school. He attended Fairleigh Dickinson College and earned his degree in Accounting. He then went on to work for the IRS as a CPA until he retired at the age of 69. He also worked part time as a realtor in Middlesex County. Howard was a Free and Accepted Mason, joining Golden Rule Lodge in 1963. Howard was Worshipful Master in 1971. That Lodge merged and is now part of Peninsula Lodge in Bayonne. After moving to Edison, he joined Mt. Zion Lodge in Metuchen and frequented there weekly. He also just celebrated his 60 years as a Free and Accepted Mason.


He met his wife of 52 years, Linda Schneiweis, on a blind date and they married two years later on November 22, 1970 at Gluckstern's Restaurant on the Lower East Side. His daughter Staci was born in 1974 and his son Marc was born in 1978. Howard and his late wife, Linda, resided in West New York, New Jersey before moving to their forever home in Edison, New Jersey during the late seventies.


Howard is predeceased by his parents Louis and Rose Schneiweis, his brother Jay, his son Marc Brian and his beloved wife Linda. Surviving him is his daughter Staci and several cousins and close friends who have become extended family
