Obituary of JOYCE BARTICK

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Joyce Bartick, a true modern matriarch, on September 14th, 2023. Born on April 26th, 1939, Joyce's life was a vibrant tapestry of love, creativity, and adventure.

Married to the love of her life, Robert Bartick, together they journeyed across the globe, collecting memories, stories, and beautiful art from the myriad countries they visited. Their shared wanderlust not only broadened their horizons but also filled their home with treasures that told tales of distant lands.

Joyce was not only a dedicated mother to Brett, Tracy (Steven), and Ross (Janis) but was also a beacon of modernity. Her knack for embracing technology set her apart, making her the go-to tech guru in the family. As a true fashionista, Joyce had an impeccable sense of style, which she effortlessly combined with her remarkable talents for knitting, sewing, and designing.  Friends and family alike were the beneficiary of her talents as she gifted loved ones with her beautiful hand knits.  Many rooms in her home showcased her flair for home decor, each corner reflecting a piece of her soul. 

Her culinary prowess was legendary. Not only did she have the ability to create culinary masterpieces, but Joyce also had the heart to share her recipes. These dishes, passed down with love and care, became favorites in the homes of extended family and friends, ensuring her legacy in their gatherings for years to come.

Joyce had a gift for making people feel special, often seen in her love for entertaining. Her home was always filled with laughter, music, and the aroma of delicious food. It was a testament to her belief that the joy of life lay in the company of loved ones and the stories shared over a meal.

In her passing, she leaves behind not just memories but also lessons of passion, creativity, and love. Joyce nurtured every relationship, making even new friends feel like family.  

In lieu of flowers and in the continued spirit of taking care of others, the family asks that donations in Joyce's name be made to the American Lung Association, or the charity of your choice.
