Obituary of SHIRLEY KOTKIN ZINKER
Shirley Kotkin-Zinker was a beloved great grandma (Bubbe), grandma, mother, sister, and aunt. Born in 1927 in Hudson, NY to Oscar and Fannie Kugelmas z”l, she was the older sister of Seymour Kugelmas. Shirley lived most of her life in Queens, NY and in later years in Rossmoor, NJ and the Stein Residence in Somerset, NJ to be closer to her family. She was strong-willed and had a deep love for travel which she passed on to her daughter, Susan Singer z”l and son in-law Joel Singer. Widowed far too young from her beloved husband, David Kotkin z”l, she would again remarry to Maurice Zinker z”l. Shirley loved life and was always up for the next adventure whether it was playing games (especially gambling), traveling to Israel, drum circle, musicals, or knitting sweater, hats, mittens or scarves. Her happiest times were spent surrounded by her family and friends, particularly her two grandsons, Michael (& Alexis), and David (& Rachel) and her four great grandchildren - Miriam, Mordechai, Madison, and Shawn
