Obituary of ANITA MARGOLIES

Anita Margolies, much loved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother passed away on 8/20/20 at the age of 99. She was predeceased by her husband Albert Margolies (2005) and is survived by her 3 children, Karen Kozarski, Ken Margolies, and Amy Schneider. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren; Kevin, Jessica, Melanie, Rachael, Scott, Lindsay, Matt, Logan, Charlie, Jackson, Tyler, Cole, Camryn, and Zilpha. She loved to read and was both a volunteer and a frequent visitor to the library. In her 50’s after raising her family, she returned to College and earned a Bachelor’s Degree. It was about at that time she became active in The Older Women’s League (O.W.L.), which was a non-profit organization advocating for women over 40. She worked at and retired from Nassau Community College on Long Island. Anita and Al retired to Delray Beach Florida and enjoyed many happy years traveling and playing golf. They were both skilled at bridge and loved to play. She moved to New Jersey 8 years ago and lived in Bridgewater, New Jersey. Born in 1920, she had a rich, long and fulfilling life. Anita has left all of us with great memories of how smart, classy and giving she was. We will all miss her. A private ceremony is planned for Delray Beach Florida on August 27th.
