For 35 years, Marilyn and Norman enjoyed being snowbirds in their condo in Coconut Creek, Florida.
Marilyn attended and graduated from Weequahic High School in Newark and then went on to become a elementary vocal music teacher after graduating from New York University with high honors.
She loved music, especially classical music.
She taught vocal music in Metuchen for many years and also was the music director of the Temple Beth El Choir in Cranford which she did on Friday nights and High Holiday services.
Marilyn was most proud of her accomplishments with the young students who performed above their young years in Metuchen.
She loved playing Mahjong and going to many music concerts. She enjoyed reading novels. She was adept at knitting. One of her favorite things to do was going on cruise ships with husband Norman to many parts of the world.
Marilyn loved to cook, which was evident when she cooked for the Jewish Holidays. She learned that from her mother, Rose.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Norman. Her greatest joy was her love for her three children, Mark, Marla(David) and Alan and her grandchildren Justin and Taylor. Her love and closeness with her sister Lorraine Geltzeiler was remarkable. Marilyn would speak to Lorraine every single day .
