Rita Dropkin, 98, died peacefully in her home on Wednesday, May 20th, 2020.
Born in Brooklyn, NY., she grew up in the house where she was born. In 1969 Rita relocated to Linden NJ and then Monroe Township NJ. Mrs. Dropkin was a teacher and school administrator for many years, in the Brooklyn, NY school system. She turned a hobby into a part time career for over 50 years as an Avon representative. She loved to travel and did so extensively over her lifetime. Rita was a theater lover as well and spent much time enjoying the arts.
She is predeceased by her husband Milton, brother Manny, sister Hazel and daughter Phyllis. She is survived by her children Allen (Joan) Samuels, Mala (Joe) Feldman, Cheryl (Richie) Borek and Charlie Ehrlich; Her grandchildren Jennifer Samuels, Jake (Jessica) Samuels, Ryan (Julie) Lupin, Rachel Feldman, Jessica Emnace, Abby Feldman and Jason (Erica) Borek; Her great grandchildren Shiloh, Saylor, Henry, Josie, Tristan, Riley, Kimmy, Nolan and Reagan.
She is survived by many other loving family members.
Her burial will take place at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge, NJ on Friday, May 22nd, 2020 at 1 PM. (Due to the current pandemic situation, one must stay in their vehicle while present). Therefore we are asking just immediate family attend.
