Obituary of CHARLOTTE HESS

Charlotte Hess, 92 of Monroe Township, NJ and Boca Raton, FL passed away peacefully on Sunday 4/26/20. Born in Paterson, NJ in 1927 to Francis and John Charles Greenfield, Charlotte had one sister, Ruth Schlam, now deceased. Charlotte spent most of her adult life in the Plainfield area as a wife, mother and as a prominent member of the local business community, as owner of the Globe Shoe Market with her loving late husband of 35 years, Herb Hess. Charlotte also spent time as an active member of the Temple Beth El Sisterhood and in fundraising for The Deborah Hospital. She is survived by her 2 children Ellen Hess Kelly and Robert Hess, their spouses Frank Kelly and Salli Frattini Hess and her 3 grandchildren Annabel, Charlie and Harrison Hess and his wife Danielle Morris Hess. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in Charlotte’s name to the Deborah Hospital Foundation @ www.deborahfoundation.org/donate A private Graveside service will be held on 4/30 for immediate family only. A Celebration of Charlotte’s Life/Memorial Service will be held at a future date.
