Laura Walshin of Metuchen passed away on March 22nd; she was predeceased by her husband, Paul Walshin and her son Donald.

A retired copy editor of Fairchild Publications in New York City, she previously had been editor of Camping Magazine, the official publication of The American Camping Association.

Laura was a graduate of New York University with a major in Journalism.

She was a member of Beth Israel Congregation in Scotch Plains, Hadassah, Emily’s List, and the JCC of Middlesex County.

Laura is survived by her granddaughter Donna of St Louis, Missouri, nephews Martin Cohen and Allan Cohen, nieces Nancy Wright and Janet Sibarium as well as dear friends Bonnie Kantor and Linda Readerman.
