On June 24, 2023, Maritza was called upon to gain her angel wings. Born in Peru, she migrated to the US in search of a new and better life. She is predeceased by her mother, Flori Villegas. Maritza or “Mary”, as she was known to many, is survived by her husband - Luis; her four kids - Jossie, Carlos, Kristhy and Nicole; and her grandchildren - Kyah and Mekai. She also leaves behind her siblings in NJ, NY and Peru. Maritza loved being “Abu” (grandma), singing karaoke with her husband, and walking around the waterfront. She was always laughing, smiling, dancing, and singing - the life of the party! 

Maritza will be missed dearly, and will always continue to live on in our hearts. May her soul rest in eternal peace. 

El 24 Junio de 2023, Maritza fue llamada para estar al lado de nuestro Señor. Nació en Perú e inmigró a los Estados Unidos para un futuro mejor. Su madre, Flori Villegas, falleció antes que ella. Maritza o “Mary” como muchas personas la llamaban deja a su esposo Luis Serrano y sus cuatro hijos - Jossie, Carlos, Kristhy y Nicole y sus nietos Kyah y Mekai. Ella también deja a sus hermanos y hermanas en NJ, NY y Perú. A Maritza le encantaba ser “Abu” (abuela), cantar en karokes con su esposo y caminar por la playita. Ella siempre con una sonrisa, alegre, bailarina y cantante - siempre era la vida de la fiesta!

Extrañaremos mucho a Maritza y siempre seguirá viviendo en nuestros corazones. Que su alma descanse en paz eterna.
