Obituary of Marci Gail Gonzalez

On Tuesday, July 9, 2019, as Marci was waiting for a friend to pick her up, she suffered a tragic accident that took her life. We are all in shock and heartbroken to have lost such a beautiful and kind woman. Marci was my mom but she was also so much to many others. She made such a positive impact on many lives in her career and personal life the same.
In social services, she’s worked with abused children, developmentally disabled individuals, and people diagnosed with mental illnesses. At home, she took care of foster children alongside her mother, Loretta; she’d welcomed any family member in need into her home with no expectation of anything in return; and she was always called “mom” by all the kids in the neighborhoods we’ve lived in.
She was an amazing mother, wife, woman, and just a beautiful person altogether. She leaves behind two children, her son David and daughterJasmine; one daughter-in-law, Theresa; one granddaughter, Noel; two sisters, Andrea and Tammy; and two brothers, Mitchell and Rick.
If there’s any desire we knew my mother had, besides being with us, it was to be with her mother. In honor of her, we have come together to set that in motion. We ask that if you are able to contribute to transporting her so that she may rest with her parents in New Jersey, we would all be immensely grateful.
